Baritone / second tenor seeks choir doing specific repertoire
I know the typical Info Exchange ad is placed by a choir that's doing this or that work and would like to acquire some extra tenors. I'm in the opposite situation: although I like my "regular" choir fine, there are types of works that they never do and won't do, and so rather than jump ship and join a different choir, I'd like to know if and when any choir in the region is doing some of the specific pieces that I'd really like to sing (or sing again). Let me know if your ensemble is contemplating doing any of the following pieces and could perhaps use a baritone / second tenor voice for it:
  • Gabrieli: Jubilate Deo
  • Victoria: O Magnum Mysterium
  • J. Berger: Brazilian Hymn or Magnificat
  • K. Nystedt: All the Ways of a Man or The Path of the Just
  • Vaughan Williams: arrangement of the Wassail Song (Christmas)
